ZeeTussŪ

(For effective management of Cough and associated symptoms : Syrup)

ZeeTuss was tried in patients of pulmonary tuberculosis having both productive and non-productive cough depending upon their lesions. It was found uniformly effective in both kinds of cough and gave prompt symptomatic relief. ZeeTuss was also found to give excellent symptomatic relief in coughs of diverse origin and associated with conditions such as bronchitis, bronchiectasis etc.

Dr. A.K.Mathur, M.D. (Clinical Pharmacology).

Cough is the single most common symptom of respiratory disorders effecting the Rhino-bronchial tree and the lung parenchyma. Cough forms a very important presenting feature in Pulmonary Tuberculosis where it is usually associated with spitting of sputum. Detention of AFB in the Sputum form the basis for diagnosis and is also the mode of spread for this disease.

ZeeTuss a Broad spectrum, multi-purpose Herbal Cough syrup was tried in 25 patients of Pulmonary Tuberculosis ranging in age from 15 to 55 years. In fourteen male and 11 female patients who had productive cough and were AFB positive, Standard Intensive Phase ATT was started and ZeeTuss was co-prescribed, for control of distressing cough in the first 60 days of treatment. It was found to give prompt symptomatic relief and was uniformly effective in all age groups. No untoward effects were noticed. Patient acceptance was excellent and tolerance, compliance and effectiveness of ATT improved.

Hence, it is concluded that ZeeTuss is a very useful for cough control in the initial phase of Pulmonary Tuberculosis management.
